Fearless Foundry’s Favorite US Brands

Shopping domestically helps boost the American economy!

As a small business, we know how important word of mouth recommendations are. If you’ve been reading our Journal for a while, you’ll notice we occasionally share some of our favorite brands. We do this because we believe in supporting companies that do good—our recommendations can positively affect a business in the same way that a praise-worthy client testimonial can affect ours! When buying locally isn’t an option, we like to support US brands. Here are some of our favorites!

#1. Good American

Good American denim collections are made up of 70% responsible materials, such as organic and recycled cotton. Their goal is to innovate, find solutions, and redefine fashion. Every piece in their collection is shown on three size ranges of models, to eliminate the friction around finding the perfect fit.

#2. The Classic T-Shirt Company

The Classic T-Shirt Company was founded by two parents, Paul and Olga Garibian, to prove to their daughter that you can be successful and do the right thing. Their shirts are made from the finest 100% organic cotton, produced by Fair Trade labor. Organic cotton is free from harsh pesticides and GMOs, is not grown in a way that destroys the soil, and uses 70% less water than conventional cotton. Less than 1% of the world’s cotton is organic! Each of their products are produced in a state-of-the-art partner facility in Los Angeles where employees are guaranteed fair wages, hours, and conditions. A portion of the proceeds from every T-shirt goes to safe water, tree planting, or ocean cleanup.

#3. Reformation

Reformation makes effortless silhouettes that celebrate the feminine figure and pioneer sustainable practices, focusing on people and progress each step of the way. They make everything from low-impact materials, rescued deadstock fabrics, and repurposed vintage clothing. Their products are designed, shot, and shipped at their facilities in Los Angeles. Some of their stuff is made in their LA factory, and the rest at sustainable partner factories around the world.

#4. James Avery Jewelry

James Avery is a vertically integrated, family-owned company located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. They offer finely crafted jewelry designs for men and women in sterling silver, 14K and 18K gold, bronze, and gemstones. They strive to create jewelry with beauty and meaning, serve their customers with graciousness and respect, give back to the communities where they do business, and create a supportive, inclusive environment for their employees. Since 2003, they’ve given more than $20 million to community programs.

#5. Kiehl's Skincare

The original Kiehl’s apothecary was founded in 1851 at the corner of 13th Street and Third Avenue in New York City. Kiehl’s became one of the first companies to list ingredients on its product labels—even before the U.S. government mandated it—to help customers make more informed and confident purchasing decisions. Their nature-inspired, scientifically-proven formulas are powerful yet safe, and help improve overall skin quality for visibly healthier-looking skin. You can shop by skin concern, product type, and even chat with a virtual skincare expert.

#6. Hylunia

Hylunia combines ancient ayurvedic principles with modern science to create  holistic, safe, and effective skin care products and protocols. The raw ingredients they source support responsible farming practices in over 600 communities worldwide—98% of their formulas are made with at least 3 renewable ingredients, which means they can be replenished or regrown.

#7. Waxelene

Waxelene started in San Francisco California with the flagship product “The Petroleum Jelly Alternative”, now known as the “Multi-Purpose Ointment”. This product found its way onto the shelves of over 15,000 stores and revolutionized the natural products industry, becoming one of the most popular organic personal care products in the US after gaining a USDA Organic certification. Waxelene uses 100% recyclable packaging, is BPA Free, and donates 2% of all sales toward the purchase of plastic offsets.

#8. Lumineux

Lumineux is the first ever dentist formulated, naturally derived, clinically tested, certified non-toxic oral care company in the world! Their products are made right here in the USA. They offer toothpaste, whitening strips, mouthwash, brightening pens, and even have kids toothpaste. Everything they make is vegan and cruelty-free—they’re dentist-formulated toothpastes are enamel safe and balance the microbiome of the mouth.

#9. Teneral Cellars

This women-owned winery is one of our Fearless clients! They donate 10% of profits to organizations that empower women and promote gender and racial equity. They use sustainable farming practices to improve the quality of their wines, minimize their environmental impact, and reduce their long-term production costs. As a certified WBENC business, all of the vendors Teneral Cellars works with are women and minority-owned companies, from payment processing and marketing to label-printing and shipping.

#10. Mrs. Meyer's

Made with plant-derived ingredients, essential oils, and other thoughtfully formulated ingredients, Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning products work hard against dirt and grime! Their products are free of ammonia, chlorine, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, artificial colorants, phosphates and petroleum distillates.
